Why should I use a travel agent?
Even in the age of online booking, travel agents are a great source of information and we can alleviate the stress that comes with planning a vacation. Not only can we tailor the trip for you and your family, we take care of everything - from the booking, special requests, seat assignments, assist you in case of unexpected problems that arise and help you anticipate potential issues in advance. Further, our services don't stop before your trip - if there are any issues while you are away on your vacation, we can assist in resolving those problems. Researching a vacation is great, but when it comes to booking it - leave it to professional.

Will I pay more if I book through an agent?
Typically, no. Since we know the popular destinations so well, we can help you find the best fit for your budget without compromising on quality. In fact, working with a travel advisor may actually get you a few extra perks, like late check out, breakfast each morning or champagne waiting for you in your room! If you’re more concerned with getting a cheap deal, no matter the experience, it’s probably better to DIY so you can piece together something low budget that works for you.
Planning Fees
Q: Do you charge a planning fee for all types of travel experiences?
A: No, it depends on the travel experience you are interested in. Starting in June 2023, we have made the decision to no longer charge planning fees for ocean cruises, river cruises, and all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean.
Q: Are there any exceptions to the planning fee waiver?
A: Yes, we do charge fees for certain types of travel experiences. Custom itineraries, group travel, and destination weddings are subject to planning fees.
Q: How much is the planning fee for custom itineraries, groups, and destination weddings?
A: The planning fees for custom itineraries and destination weddings start at $250 and groups are $750 with a minimum of 10 rooms. Yacht and aviation charters are $500 per trip. Please note that the final fee may vary depending on the complexity and scope of the trip or event.
Q: What is considered a custom itinerary?
A: A custom itinerary refers to a personalized travel plan tailored to your specific preferences and requirements. This may include unique destinations, specific activities, specialized accommodations, and other personalized arrangements that are outside the scope of our regular offerings.
Q: How can I find out if a planning fee applies to my desired travel experience?
A: To determine if a planning fee applies to your specific travel request, we recommend reaching out to one of our certified travel advisors. They will be able to provide you with the most accurate information based on your requirements.
Q: Is the planning fee refundable?
A: The planning fee is non-refundable. It covers the time, effort, and expertise of our travel professionals in creating a personalized travel experience or coordinating group arrangements.
What is the process of working with you?
We start with “Defining Your Travel Experience”. Every client relationship starts with a complimentary discovery call, where we get to see if we’re a good fit for one another. Then, we’ll start preparing suggested itineraries based on our conversation and your interests. We’ll refine the itinerary until its perfect for you. At this point, you get to sit back and relax as we take care of all the booking details. Can I book on your website?
You can’t! Sea & Sun Travel Agency is not a booking site. We are much more than that! You work with Certified Romance or Luxury Travel Advisors, who are obsessed with finding the perfect travel experience for you. Each itinerary we design is crafted with your likes, dislikes, interests and preferences in mind. Taking your ideas, vision and dreams and turning that into a trip of a lifetime.
You’ll be presented with a curated menu of options, so you can trust that you’re only choosing from the best of the best. (As opposed to flipping page after page of a never-ending diner menu — that’s what it’s like trying to plan a special vacation using just the internet!).
Do you book group travel?
Yes! Do you have an upcoming conference for your business or a student trip? We can handle all of the details and ensure that you have access to extra amenities like resort credits, dinner reservations, group excursions and meeting space as needed. More details can be found on our Groups Page.
Do you have a minimum budget requirement?
At this time, we are accepting new clients with a minimum budget of $5,000 per couple. There are times that we will make an exception, however, these may be subject to an additional planning fee added to the booking. See our Services page for more details.
What type of documentation is required to travel?
During your consultation call, we will discuss these requirements with you. To ensure you are aware of passports, Visas, or other required documents prior to booking your trip. And how to obtain those, if needed.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes we do! If you'd like to give the gift of travel to a friend, family member or even yourself - you can order your gift card TODAY! Gift cards are only used to pay for our planning fees, they cannot be used towards your travel experience at this time.
