Here are 3 reasons you absolutely need travel insurance for every domestic and international trip:

1. Trips are a big financial investment and accidents, and unforeseen circumstances can happen at any time.
2. Trip delays can happen without notice. Testing positive in-destination and being required to stay for 10-14 days quarantine at a hotel shouldn't be left on you to pay out of pocket. Flight cancellations and additional expenses to stay longer in-destination can also add considerable costs.
3. Medical evacuation and emergency medical coverage are critical. I hear this over and over again... 'Oh, we don't need this. We'll be careful'.  Until you get the bill from the local hospital after tearing your leg open on a sharp piece of coral or you bang your head on the side of the catamaran while getting back onboard and have a concussion.
